Terms and Conditions

By sending me your Airsoft product to work on and modify, the customer has read, understands, and agrees to the following:

1)    Payment is for:

a.     Time spent diagnosing and/or fixing your equipment.

b.     Parts required to fix/upgrade your equipment.

c.     Parts replaced in the process of fixing your equipment.

2)    Pricing:

a.     A quote will be provided on the estimated work required. If the costs will end up exceeding the initial quoted price, I will stop work and you will be contacted and an updated quote will be provided.

b.     You may be liable for repair costs even if I find out your equipment can not be repaired.

c.     If you do not pay for repairs within 30 days after you are notified (by phone or email of which you have already contacted me from) that the repairs are complete, your equipment will be held to recover costs and may not be returned to you.

d.     No equipment will be returned until all invoices are paid in full and funds have cleared.

3)    Upon being returned, your equipment will:

a.     Have the original manufacturers and or vendors warranty or guarantee void.

b.     Possibly have the external finish of some parts changed, glued, taped, scratched, cut, filed or marred in some non-new looking way.  (I might use tape to shim your mag, file away some of your receiver to fit new wires comfortably, etc.)

c.     Have spare parts that were removed returned to you.

                                              i.         Examples:

1.     Spring release in front of trigger guard in G36

2.     Forward assist

3.     Hand guard weights

d.     Possibly have some parts broken during the process of disassembly and put back in broken but still functional. Unfortunately some equipment is designed to never be taken apart and it is necessary to break it during the repair/upgrade process.

                                              i.         Examples:

1.     “C” clips on certain ups

2.     Plastic flash hiders

4)     Parts are Parts:

AEG upgrading and modification is based upon something called Tokyo Marui compatibility. At one time, Tokyo Marui was the first and only company to develop AEGs, so naturally other competitors that arose began copying their designs. Tokyo Marui compatible parts are not necessarily compatible with all brands of guns.  Likewise, all Tokyo Marui compatible aftermarket parts do not necessarily fit all Tokyo Marui compatible guns, due to certain manufactures having varying slight differences from the original Tokyo Marui design. To compound this fact, sometimes replacing one broken part in a gun with a Tokyo Marui compatible part requires replacement of other part(s) to get a whole system functioning and compatible.

Following the above information, It is understood that:

1.     Sometimes, when it is necessary, your gun will be returned with some different parts from those it was originally furnished to me with.

a.     If a useable part is taken from your gun and replaced with another, functioning the same way, I will keep the useable part unless the customer declares he/she would like to have it returned to them.

b.     If an un-usable part is taken from your gun it will be returned.

2.     Charges for parts I have to buy will include:

a.     The actual cost of the part.

b.     Incoming shipping or pickup charge due to getting your part(s) to me so I can install it in your gun.

d.     Actual cost for any long distance calls etc involved in finding and acquiring your parts.

e.     Nominal markup for profit due to my time spent.

5)    I will get your equipment back to you when I get it back to you:

a.     If you need it back by this weekend or a certain date, don’t ask for me to fix it for you. I really don’t know how long it will take, each gun is different.

b.     If you call me or email me or bother me in effort to accelerate delivery, I will ignore those calls or emails.

c.     When you are notified that work was completed, you agree to pay for and pick up/acknowledge shipping of the equipment/product within 30 days of notification or I will hold onto the equipment to recover the costs of repair, items I purchased and labor spent on the product.

6)    Once you accept the repaired or upgraded gun you understand that all sales are final:

The only way a free repair will be accepted after the product is sent back is if it meets the qualifications of my warranty (listed below).  There is no way for me to guarantee you will care for your equipment and not abuse your equipment, not put used/bad BB’s in it or hook up a huge and/or overrated (>11.1v) battery to it and blow it up. You understand that it is your responsibility to maintain your equipment and assure it is not abused.

Warranty

I support all of my personal work with a 30 day warranty.  If the modifications I performed break or malfunction due to normal use within 30 days of me giving or shipping the product back to the customer, I will investigate the problem(s) for FREE.  If the problem is indeed caused by my work I will fix it for FREE.

*The customer pays shipping both ways for any and all fixes due to this above policy.

Actions that void the above warranty include but are not limited to:

-You tamper with the gun/product in any way after receiving it from me.

-You deliberately try to break the product or cause physical damage to it.

-You perform actions with the product of which it was not intended to do.

-You drop or damage the product accidentally.

-You open up the gun, hopup, receivers and or gearbox.

-You hold down the trigger for an excessive amount of time (more than 5 second intervals).

-You hold down the trigger during a jam. (jams are natural, continuing to fire is what causes problems).

-You use too powerful a battery (>11.1v).

-You use too weak a battery than what the final product is intended for

-You use low quality bbs

-A part itself failed, rather than my work.  (parts can sometimes fail, even when nothing was put together wrong.  This is mostly due to a vast majority of parts on the market being made in china with less than average quality control during the manufacturing processes leading to bad parts on the markets and in stores.  These sometimes find their way into airsoft guns and fail prematurely.)

-The part that failed was not one I modified.

-Any action that causes harm to the product after it leaves my hands.  The product, in a simple sense, has to break on its own due to normal use to be eligible for the above warranty.

*If the above warranty is voided, I will not fix the product for free.

Other notes about warranty:

-If the customer breaks his/her product while voiding my warranty I will still look into fixing the problem, just not for free.

-If the customer breaks his/her product while under my warranty, and after my inspection it turns out the fault is truly of my own work and due to a part I modified, then I will contact the customer and look into fixing the problem for free.

Payment

The Customer understands that he/she will complete all payments to the Seller in full before the work is completed and the item is returned.

The Customer agrees to pay the amount that was quoted to him/her for the project to the Seller.  The customer also realizes that during a project, it is possible to have a change in price and receive a new quote than what was originally given. This is for various reasons, some of which include:

-another part was found broken and needs to be replaced

-another part is needed to complete the build

-a part is needed to fix compatibility issues

-the customer decides he wants more parts added in

Payment for the goods or services will be made to the Seller when the Customer is notified that the goods are ready to be delivered by the Seller (either personally or to a carrier for shipment to the Customer) or, in the alternative, when any document of title or registrable bill of sale, bearing any necessary endorsement, is tendered to the Customer.

Right to Cancel:

The Seller has the right to cancel the agreement of a shipping date if he or she is confronted with an emergency which would interfere with shipping the good(s) on or before the agreed date.

Risk of Loss:

Risk of loss will be on the Purchaser from the time of delivery to the carrier. The Purchaser will provide, at its expense, insurance on the Goods insuring the Seller's and the Purchaser's interest as they appear, until payment in full to the Seller.

Title:

Title to the Goods will remain with the Seller until delivery and actual receipt of the Goods by the Customer or, in the alternative, the Seller delivers a document of title or registrable Bill of Sale of the Goods, bearing any necessary endorsement, to the purchaser.

All sales are final, if the customer wishes to apply for a warranty they must contact me at: legacyairsofttech@gmail.com

I am not responsible for any injuries/damage caused by the product after I ship/give it back to the customer.  The customer is expected to either already know or research any actions that could be a safety issue with an airsoft gun.  Airsoft, as any other sport, can become dangerous if not played safely.  Always abide by local laws and the rules of your local field.
